Works very well. We take one speaker upstairs and one into the living room. If they or my father-in-law really need us they can call and if something happens like throwing up they can keep pressing the button until we wake up and answer. Much better now that we have it. They are an elderly couple and at this point the baby monitors seemed pushy and disrespectful. I used them with my grandmothers when I was looking after them and they were great. I'm so glad we're getting smarter about how to help our generation care for their elders with respect.
