When creating a custom Sega Genesis FPGA MiSTer Case Mod, I had to come up with a working power button. My old Genesis lost the power switch anyway, so there was no chance of developing a working replacement with the original switch. The DE-10 Nano also doesn't have a power button. Solution? Power switch on the power cord. Well! I hot glue the switch directly to the original power supply hole on the back of the Genesis, and bingo, we have a working power switch. It would have been nice to have the switch in the Genesis' original on/off position, but that's a small sacrifice for a quick and easy fix. If I still had my original power switch, I would have spent more time finding a better solution with special wiring. Bottom Line: If you need an integrated power switch for a custom project that uses a standard barrel connector, this is your choice.
