2006 Toyota Sienna, Runs Great

After over 100,000 miles the calipers start to deteriorate and stick and then uneven pad wear occurs which is a waste of money on new pads/discs. These replacement devices work great. restored and repainted. I bought these Power Stop replacement parts for another car and they work great. At the same time I flushed the brake fluid. I first connected the brake line to the new caliper and hung it on a spring with a caliper hook on the passenger side farthest from the brake fluid reservoir, then I flush the line with a person gently applying the brake while I pump. Brake bleeder (Mityvac) pump fluid assembly. I used Castrol Synthetic Dot 3/4 (32oz) brake fluid. Then move the old pads onto the new caliper (remember which side of the rotor each pad was on) or install new pads/rotors etc. Then unbolt the old caliper and bolt on the new caliper. Then repeat for the side closest to the tank. So flushing with brake fluid removes bubbles from the brake fluid line when new calipers are replaced. Otherwise the brakes will soften and you will have to go back and bleed the brake vacuum pump to remove any bubbles from the line. Pains. I also use the Power Stop Z23 Evolution brake kit: drilled and slotted discs with ceramic pads. Power Stop K5438. works great for me.
