My husband and I are trying to have a second child and judging by the reviews of traditional pregnancy test sticks like Clearblue Easy and First Responses are a little less than favorable so I decided to give it a try. I paid around $9 for this a few months ago (Revain's price has gone up since then) and you get 20 individually wrapped test strips, which is great value, especially if you're trying to conceive for a while much cheaper than other test brands that give you two tests for $12-18. Keep in mind that these are strips only and are not encased in hard plastic like traditional pregnancy tests. To use the strips, simply urinate into a disposable cup (I used a Dixie cup, to be honest), hold the strip by the green band and dip it in the "max" mark for about 10 seconds Urine. If you dip it above the max line you may get a false positive. Remove the strip, place it on a handkerchief or tissue and wait 5 minutes for the results. If it is positive you will see two lines (test and control) and if it is negative you will see one line (control). We tried for several months and I only used half of the box. The box claims to give accurate results 5 days before a missed period, but 4 and 5 days before a missed period I got a negative test, but 1 and 2 a few days before a missed period I got a positive result with a second one get faint line. My doctor later confirmed the positive result. Just remember that all early pregnancy tests, including this one, are more accurate the closer you test to a missed period because levels of the hormone hCG, the hormone this test detects, continue to rise in early pregnancy. Maybe my hCG level 2 days before my period started was not high enough to be detected by these test strips. Overall I'm very happy with them and would highly recommend them to other brands for their accuracy, ease of use and reasonable price.
