My cat likes it so much that she sleeps in it at night. This is a medium-sized cat, weighing almost 12 pounds, but he has no problem getting in and turning around. Because the carrier is soft and has soft handles, I was just uncomfortable holding my cat by the handles for long stretches for fear of losing the carrier, so I chose to support it from below but yours Mileage may vary. Love the webbing loops and can confirm the carrier holds its shape when buckled in and keeps a calm cat. I have no experience carrying a restless cat in it so I don't know how it will stand up to claws and teeth.
