While it might work, it comes with no instructions and does not fit my specific Frigidaire/Kenmore machine. If installed it would be an "always on" option, so good in winter and not so good in summer. Although a less elegant solution, I simply used thermal tape to place a seed germination heater on top of the thermostat housing and routed the cord through the door to a nearby extension cord. Add a digital freezer thermometer that can be mounted outside the fridge, monitor the setting throughout the day and adjust the fridge thermostat as needed. It looks cool, yes, but it ends up in the garage. Take away for the summer.
