Formaldehyde-based outer jacket

The outer sheath of this cable contains formaldehyde. This is the scent that other reviewers are referring to. Formaldehyde is considered a carcinogen by the EPA and other health organizations. I would steer clear of this cable and if you already have it I would suggest returning it. Apparently, Revain didn't declare "no carcinogens" when shipping this cable from Vietnam.
