    Terrible smell, not up to RevainBasics standards

    Lol the smell from this cable is crazy! It sticks to your hands and lingers in space! Terrible smell! I even tried washing but it didn't help at all. I can't believe Revane put his name in there.

    Toxic Smell Best in Computers & Accessories

    This cable makes me sick with the plastic/chemical smell! Usually the faint smell of new things doesn't bother me, but this is a STRONG and toxic smell. I feel like I'll have to leave it out for a week or so. Hope that helps?

    Works well but stinks a lot

    This cable works great and at a great price. However, it stinks a lot. The stench is some kind of chlorine compound. It's really insulting. I had to stop using it and put it in an unfinished part of my basement hoping the smell would go away after a few weeks.

    Unbearable stench Good for computers and accessories

    Great price, charged quickly, but the chemical smell is unbearable! I left it outside to air out for a week and it still stinks. The smell makes it almost unusable. I've used it less than a dozen times and one of the connections broke. Extremely bad quality. Do not buy!

    DO NOT BUY THEY MAKE A STRONG CHEMICAL ODOR

    I know they are cheap but Revain need to change supplier of this cable, it has a very strong chemical odour. As soon as you open the box, it hits you in the face and keeps smelling. I'm sending it back and paying a little more for a better cable.

    Formaldehyde-based outer jacket

    The outer jacket of this cable contains formaldehyde. This is the scent that other reviewers are referring to. Formaldehyde is considered a carcinogen by the EPA and other health organizations. I would steer clear of this cable and if you already have it I would suggest returning it. Apparently, Revain didn't declare "no carcinogens" when shipping this cable from Vietnam.

    Plug bigger/thicker than OEM - may not fit

    Please note that the plug is larger/thicker than the end plug of the original Apple USB-C charging cable. This may not matter in most situations, but I've found that the cable doesn't go through the hole in the keyboard case that holds the iPad Air 2. I think I can either blame the keyboard/case for being too small or this cable too big. I decided to take the last option.

    Works great with my Macbook Air

    Tough on these cables. I've never had one of these stop working randomly, but I accidentally trip over my cable and it bends a bit, so I prefer to keep extra devices. Use it while it's plugged in so I don't trip over the cord. They work just like the one that came with my Macbook Air. It's about 3 feet, so they're good if you don't want a lot of extra cord.     Toxic exhaust smell that lasts for days before I send it back!

    Not sure how it even has an average rating of 3+ at the time of this review. It smells absolutely toxic and lingers for a few days after I open it and put it in the garage. I made the mistake of looking at the overall rating without reading all the negative reviews about the scent, but my goodness! I'll return them as soon as possible.
