This is my first review. I'm writing this to answer what I believe is a false story that these glasses are brittle and easily broken. I've had them for three months, throw a few parties and use them for coffee every morning, stirring them with metal (wooden) spoons without a hint of a problem. I can't even imagine breaking one of them unless I drop it on the floor. We have granite countertops all over the house, and if I 'put on' one hard enough to break one of those glasses, it would force me to make an appointment with an optometrist to fix my vision problems. Ten years from now we'll still have a set of 6 intact and working for coffee every day. We even take them in the car for a business cup of coffee. Don't be afraid to buy them because they are "fragile". You are not. They are made of glass. If you know how to handle and handle glass, you will be golden. If you usually use a Stanley stainless steel thermos to sip your coffee, you might miss it, but otherwise, get one and enjoy. Just treat them like good glasses. We put them in the microwave and wash them easily in the dishwasher.
