I'm allergic to metal and was looking for decent plastic earrings that would help me keep my piercing open. I am absolutely willing to pay $9 for this set and after a few weeks I would consider it a $9 well spent. I wouldn't call it a $20 well spent. It's exactly what you would expect from $9. None of mine have broken or fallen apart and I can wear them with no metal reaction so I have to say I'm pleased. But I feel limited to darker colors (there are multiple sizes of black and cobalt blue) because the lighter ones, which draw more attention, look a bit ridiculous in my opinion. They don't fool anyone with the fact that they even cost 9 dollars apiece.
