The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because it was wrapped in bubble wrap that was so tight it was almost impossible to remove. First, bubble wrap for cat litter? For real? And secondly I had to cut it off which was impossible without cutting up the packaging and thereby causing a bit of a mess and almost losing part of the product. I would normally consider bubble wrap as a bonus because it's a good stress reliever, but in this case the material was covered in gritty dirt, so another mess. As for the liter itself, I have used this type for many years and find it to be by far the best. It's fragrance-free, which is great because I'm severely allergic to fragrances, and even if I wasn't, many fragrances are toxic. I don't want to expose myself to it and I don't want to force my cat to expose himself to it. Also, there is no need for a masking scent with this filler as baking soda works very well. Not only am I allergic to fragrances, I am also very sensitive to smells and I live in a small apartment. So if this didn't address odor, I wouldn't want to use it. Also, the clumping works well so I don't have to waste a ton of trash getting rid of my cat's leftovers. A pack lasts me about a month and I scoop at least once a day. And I also like the size of the packaging because many other brands just come in boxes that are too heavy for me to lift. 14 pounds is much more manageable.
