Great jacket, too small but still too big

UPDATE: I returned the small and got the XS instead, fits much better, love this jacket! Have recommended it to friends. PROS: I like the affordability of this jacket and its durability. The color is exactly what I expected and it has POCKETS! I love the idea of the straps on the lower back that slim your waist giving you a slimmer fit and a more feminine look and I love that the sleeves have adjustable buttons to be more or less snug around your elbows fit . It has really amazing vents on the back that open and also on the front that open and lock to optimally capture the wind. Can't rate this on waterproofing as luckily it hasn't rained since I got it and we got some sun. CONS: Obviously the armor is cheap given the price of this jacket, but it looks like it will protect you from road rashes at most city speeds. My biggest complaint about the armor is that I wanted to put my own armor in this jacket and remove the armor that came with it, but the hole for the back armor is so small I can't get it out without cutting it. armor or ripping out/cutting a larger opening. Maybe I didn't try hard enough, or maybe they're all like that, who knows? This jacket is too big for me or my build (?). I originally ordered the medium because the size chart and other reviews, as well as my typical size, leaned towards the medium. He was just too big. I felt like I was wearing my boyfriend's jacket. I ordered the Small to replace my original and I honestly think the XS will fit me and I'll probably get it at some point. The photos are SMALL and I set all the settings as tightly as possible. The armrests are good when fully adjusted, but the back and sides are too bulky for my liking. I tried to show how I look without a jacket and with it in the same poses and poses and especially from the side I just find it looks too chunky and completely excludes my ass and waist from existence. Of course, I don't care if I look a little taller because it's armor in this jacket, but all the bulk is just extra fabric or air around my body, so it's totally unnecessary. Plus, a fully fitted back creates that weird crease in the fabric and makes it look like you're growing angel wings or someone is getting your shoulder blades pierced. All in all I have no regrets buying this jacket but I will probably need to purchase ANOTHER size smaller to get the fit I want. For reference, I'm 5ft 7in and 140lbs. I usually wear size 5 jeans, medium shirts/jackets, dresses size 6. This size will probably be my outerwear in winter as there is plenty of room underneath for clothes.
