Review on Canon 1177C002 Speedlite 600EX II RT by James Small

I am so disappointed with this flash. I bought it on 09/01/2017. I've shot 4 weddings and engagements with it, as well as 2 of my 'old' Canon 600s (the newest of which was bought in February 2016 and both have been to numerous weddings, engagements and retirements). During my wedding ceremony (filmed in a dark barn) last Friday, this flash stopped working. Recycling or "recharging" took an excruciatingly long time, as can be seen on the screen. I ended up switching to my old Canon 600EX-RT and shooting with it for the rest of the day. I decided to retest the 600 EX II for an engagement session last night and half the cooldown was an obstacle. I ran home, grabbed one of my 600s and that was it. I'll take a Canon CP-E4N battery and see if that makes a difference. If not, I remove that flash and grab another from the original 600s. Note. I always use Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries as I have found that nothing else compares to them when it comes to flash performance.
