I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

the canon system has the best flash, it consumes batteries unexpectedly economically, the RT system is well thought out and there are flash analogues and transmitters from other manufacturers with RT synchronization. TTL mode works very well. even with a flash in the forehead there are no overexposures and the picture is quite good, of high quality. I'm going to buy a second donut and I think the transmitter is rather not original. my copy of the flash is made in china.

Pros
  • new flagship model second version. with moisture protection. batteries are economical. All declared parameters work. "quick flash" helps out. the main automation (ttl) is very accurate in terms of exposure, color temperature, zoom. complete filters for changing the color temperature, as many as 2 pieces, and a matte diffuser. radio sync is great.
Cons
  • there is nowhere to put these filters. as if it’s probably convenient in the lamp light with them, but where to put them so that they don’t break and get it quickly, I didn’t come up with it, so I don’t take it for shooting. a native transmitter for controlling flashes costs almost as much as the donut itself. necessary thing but who takes it at this cost?

Excellent Flash is good for flash

Still need to learn how to use this flash manually but Ettl works great. The AA batteries lasted a long time. I am happy with this purchase and recommend it.

Very Happy Shooter on Shoe Mount Flashes

I had a 430 ex ii that I was able to burn and replace with a Chinese version. It worked well but was never consistent. I finally have some extra money for this beast and I'm impressed. I've used it on both my 7D and 6D with 24-105L and also experimented with my 70-200 f2.8. I am so happy with my purchase. Can't wait to try this out on my local traffic light circuit.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons

Great flash options

I'm a nature photographer and I love the power this flash gives me in my photos. As you can see in the gliding frog picture, it brings movement. I have several other flashes but this one has the features I was looking for and is easy enough to use to get those shots. The ability to bring movement into my paintings opens up a whole new world. I've had it for a week now and am happy so far.

Perfect addition to my camera

Bought this to use with my Canon 5D Mark 4 and practice my off camera flash technique Works fantastic as it is intended as a camera flash. I love the fact that there are tons of settings and it's really intuitive to use. Just note that if you're using this camera off-camera, you'll need a trigger to turn on the flash along with the camera. I bought a Canon trigger and everything works fine.

Expensive but stable

Does what it should. I also have several versions of this Yongnuo flashlight and they are identical except the 3rd party ones shut down due to overheating. This unit never did. However, one day I dropped this flash from about 5 feet and the flash head broke and had to be sent in for repair (which was never necessary when I dropped the Yongnuos). If you can afford it and don't drop things, it's definitely worth it. more than other brands due to stable performance and good functionality. Nothing…

Pros
  • 1 year test
Cons
  • For pensioners

I have used two generations of Canon 430EX flashes and I really like them. I just bought and returned a Revain 600EX ii - RT flash. The LED panel is incredibly difficult to read, even when lit. The most frustrating thing is the menu structure and the selection wheel, which is the only method of navigating. It takes a lot of force to press the test button. so strong that when the camera is on a tripod, the entire frame has to be rebuilt. This flash is, I'm sure, just as amazing functionally as…

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Excellent speedlite, the best Canon have ever made and in my opinion the best on the market today. I have three and if I had the budget I would buy three more tomorrow. In combination with the ST-E3-RT transmitter, setting up complex lighting systems is child's play, all easily controlled directly from the back of the camera. (Basic as a frame of reference: I switched from a Speedlite 580EX II and 430EX II and never used the original 600EX flash.) The Speedlite is very well built, weatherproof…

I am so disappointed with this flash

I am so disappointed with this flash. I bought it on 09/01/2017. I've shot 4 weddings and engagements with it, as well as 2 of my 'old' Canon 600s (the newest of which was bought in February 2016 and both have been to numerous weddings, engagements and retirements). During my wedding ceremony (filmed in a dark barn) last Friday, this flash stopped working. Recycling or "recharging" took an excruciatingly long time, as can be seen on the screen. I ended up switching to my old Canon 600EX-RT and…

Those new 600s are fine if you let them sit for 15 or 20 seconds.

Let me start by saying that I have been a professional wedding/portrait photographer for 21 years. I use Canon products all the time. I started with 540EZ, then 550EX, 580EX, 580EXII and now the new 600EX-RT and 600EXII-RT. I'm not sure what Canon did with these new 600 versions, but they just don't have the durability of older devices. I need flashes that are fast and reliable. My 580EXII strobes were, and still are, heavy workhorses. I've shot at events and fired one of my 580s to the point…
