These fenders are great. once you install them. If you've ever mounted bike fenders or have mechanical intuition, mounting them should be a good thing. However, I recommend completely ignoring the included instructions as they are beyond useless. As mentioned in another review, they suggest trimming the metal brackets before attaching and adjusting the fenders. Do not do that. Wait until the end if you know exactly where to cut. I ended up using a Dremel cutting wheel, not the suggested hacksaw. As for the wings themselves, they are great. Compared to Planet Bike fenders mounted on another bike, they feel more solid with more mounting points. I was concerned that metal attachments would look silly (e.g. antennas) but once properly trimmed and covered in rubber they are not noticeable at all. The hardware on these fenders looks better too; It doesn't rely on Phillips sheet metal screws to hold it together, and all of the hardware appears to be stainless steel (so I'm hoping it doesn't rust like the Planet Bike fenders I have). Also, the matte black color finish looks great. If your only goal is fenders that keep you out of the mud, Planet Bike fenders will get the job done, and for $10 less. If you want to take it a step further in terms of the finished look, use them, but be prepared that installation will require innovative thinking.
