Handy to have a foldable, space saving backpack for day trips. But this package exceeded my expectations. The material seems more durable than other folding backpacks I've had. I wouldn't use it for a long hike. The straps are narrow, there are no additional straps for support. But it was perfect for taking on a recent water day trip. It had a beach towel, change of clothes, shoes and other things I needed. The side pockets came in handy for storing water bottles. It has a zippered mesh pocket on the inside and a slightly hidden zippered pocket on the outside. It's already light so it didn't add much to our load. It would be great for a short hike, a trip to the gym, for my kids at night, or for carrying stuff for a day trip or themed trip. a park. It takes some effort to get it back in the box, but it's doable.
