They did the job I needed
I have a switch that allows me to choose whether I want to send computer sound to either high quality speakers or high quality headphones (when I don't want to bother anyone). However, splitters were required to convert to RCA connectors. The sound quality I get is pretty good. Even with large volumes, there are almost no losses.
