I bought this because my cats fight a lot, especially at night. Yes, the dog is very annoying. My neighbor recommended her to me. I can tell a big difference. My fat black cat (who doesn't like me) wins the most. Now she is a sweet sweet girl who is very sociable with me. Now she likes to snuggle in my lap. My restless little gray tabby is much less restless and won't run away when you call her a cat. Now she meows and lifts her ass ready to be scratched. The dog doesn't chase cats that often either, and I've noticed that the tabby now rubs her head on the dog, but the fat black cat is still not a fan of the dog. I can tell when the dispenser is over. begins to be ineffective because the cats start fighting more. Each bottle will also have something on the bottom left at this point. I like to open old and new bottles with an oil cutter (clean), use a special old little plastic gas dropper for my baby, suck out the remaining liquid and add it to the new bottle. It may sound silly and petty, but a new bottle will last about a week longer than if you just throw the old one away. My home is just over 3,000 square feet and I have placed 3 outlets in high traffic areas or rooms where cats spend more time. One in the main hall, one in my bedroom and one in the living room. The pheromones are distributed so that each area gets enough. Normal back and forth movement around the house spreads the pheromones, so I would only advise placing them in large areas or rooms where cats spend most of their time. You don't need one for every room, only for places with higher traffic.
