Pulled out the old ball joints and pushed in. The snap ring is just a little insurance. I bought them for several positions. Standard, longer and longest for correcting turn and roll centers on lowered vehicles. My machine is lowered 1 1/2 inches so I set it to the lowest position. This raised the roll center just enough to remove the car's "rollover" in corners. The bumper wasn't a problem before and not much has changed either. Changing the roll center was the biggest improvement. When entering a fast corner, the car no longer wants to tip onto the front wheel on the outside of the corner. Helps with handling, contributes to tire wear. Improved lap times.
