A must for windy RV conditions. Could you just put a block or something on the drain hose? Probably. But this thing holds up. We had 50-60 mph gusts that forced us to drag our slides because the slide overhang was going crazy. This thing didn't move. The sewer hose even came out of the support channel I have and still hasn't come out of the sewer pipe. Very well thought out and cute as long as it gets the job done. I just wish there was a way to see the clean elbow I have underneath so I can keep an eye on the black reservoirs when I reset them once a week.
