This is a really good soldering iron and of course if you use Weller products you have all Weller tips. We compared this Road Pro (cheapest) and the Antex MLXS soldering iron (you have to google it, there is a distributor in the US). Antex has some advantages and disadvantages compared to Weller. The pros are that it's a little thinner so it doesn't take up as much room in a gear bag and seems to reach temperatures more efficiently than a Weller (we used the built in wattmeter) so if you're running on battery it's a little better. However, the Antex cable isn't as high quality, so while it will work, it won't be as heat resistant as the Weller. I prefer Antex, but if you already have Weller stuff then Weller is a great option. .By the way, the under $10 Road Pro iron is pretty good too! It's just that you can't get different amounts of tips for that.
