This is my fifth digital photo frame. The first three were Pixstar frames which I like but need the network and people to update the photos. I also have a Sony 12 inch bezel which works well even after years of use. This frame is a gift for a man who lost everything in a fire and I had access to several of his family photos. Since I don't send him photos regularly and don't know if he's wireless in the nursing home, this non-wireless frame was the best choice. I also love how easy it is to set up and I figured out all the controls. without reading the instructions (which are very clear). A smaller size is a better choice as I don't know how important these photos are to the recipient (so an 18" frame might be overkill). This size is also suitable for a bedside table. I think the frame is ok and doesn't look cheap at all. The quality of the photos is good as long as you load the right size, format and quality images into the frame. The only thing I would have liked for the included frame was a remote control. My father-in-law liked to freeze his frame and talk about paintings. This is not possible with this. Warning - I deleted the photos on the flash drive and replaced them with the ones I wanted to view. After going through all the new photos multiple times, the old deleted ones popped up. I had to reformat the flash drive and replace the new photos to make sure the old ones were gone. Really good lesson.
