Review on Infrared Extender Extender Repeater Emitters by Devin Maselli

Do not worry. Best accessories & accessories

Update: The first IR extender lasted about 2 weeks. I sent it back and the second one didn't work at all. I don't care anymore, I'm trying another strain. I ordered the 20ft version which is just over 15ft measured by its total length including both parts (USB and emitter cables). The device is working as intended, make sure there is power on the USB side at all times when using the remote to turn something on - if the device this cable is connected to is not providing USB power until it is powered on becomes. The cable does not work to turn on this device. It seems people are having trouble getting their controlled devices to "see" the signal from the cable's emitter. When the transmitter is stuck directly onto the IR receiver of the controlled device, the double-sided tape blocks infrared radiation from reaching the device. The transmitter must be positioned so that the internal LED falls within the IR receiving window of the controlled device. To do this, place the transmitter on a door or an object in front of the device, or attach the transmitter directly to the device with transparent adhesive tape. Overall good value for money.
