I wanted to switch to a backpack to carry more gear (I chose the Altura Grand Explorer Backpack https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JZTYU8E) and I was intrigued by the black Rapid backpack strap. I like the way the BosStrap connects to the camera on the neck strap ring, so I also bought the OP/TECH Utility Loop https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000IN3RUE to use with the Black to connect Rapid carabiners. The Black Rapid works well with a backpack, I also need a way to make it a shoulder strap when not wearing a backpack. I could have bought a separate strap but I went to the fabric store and saw the 1" polypropylene webbing and mounts (see standalone) but it worked well either way.
