As a tugboat captain I found Amsteel, Spectra or Dyneema to be the industry standard for HMPE rope so I was wary of buying a Chinese made product. I haven't tested it for strength yet, but I can say that you get ideal soft clips from a size of 4.5 mm. I don't usually write reviews but I read one where someone tried to make a harness but failed miserably and blamed it on the rope. Maybe it was a different size. As an experienced rigger I was very pleased with the ease of use of this line. My only disappointment is that it loses the "gloss" that a good HMPE has and takes on an ash gray appearance with very little use. I'm curious if this will affect the tensile strength as I don't want to take any of my ties to an arborist until I'm certain that a 5500lb tensile strength is legal. the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. .
