This polish is SO shiny. It's very, very beautiful. I've actually never used holographic polish before, so I did a little research beforehand. Especially as the listing shows color differences when using a 'natural' base and a black base coat underneath. I actually decided to try three ways first just so I can see the differences for myself. I did some of my nails with a regular clear base coat, some with a coat of white and some with a coat of black. I will say that the black base colors looked the most "holographic". But out of the three, I preferred the look of this polish to the white base coat. The difference between the white base and the clear base was barely noticeable, but the colors blended much better with the white base. The swatches in my photo are taken over a white base coat. In terms of durability I would compare it to most high quality gel polishes I have used. It wore well until I got tired of the regrown look and changed it at 2.5 weeks. Without problems it would have taken a full three weeks and possibly longer. Overall I am very happy with this holographic paint set. Shine for days! Really fun and beautiful. Highly recommended.
