I was very happy to get these USB connectors. They fit perfectly on my 2007 FJ Cruiser. I wanted to connect them to my new Kenwood head unit with Android Auto. This USB port does not work for Android Auto. In another car I have an Andoid Auto with a Kenwood deck with a dash mounted USB plug and it works fine. I used the same cable to rule out the USB cable and of course it's the dash mounted USB port. This works great if you want to download music to a USB drive, but it doesn't work with Android Auto. Looks like I'll have to do some custom work like I did on my other machine. Use a plug, cut the middle off and install a USB cable that I know works, or install a cigarette lighter USB data plug. I've found Batige's USB ports to work with Android Auto.
