Review on πŸ‘‰ Enhanced Performance with JUN-ELECTRON's Capacitive Raspberry 4 800X480 Touchscreen Portable 5"" Display by Bruce Chinn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It was perfect for my OctoDash setup!

Great price, impeccable clarity and touch response. I needed a small, medium resolution touch display to set up my OctoPi/OctoDash and it fitted perfectly! The Pi4/400 provides enough power from the single touchscreen USB port (use max_usb_current=1 in your config.txt, use a 3A block to power the Pi and use one of the USB-A 3.0 ports on the Pi), but you can also use the second power-only USB port for external power. I like the versatility better and will probably buy more of these canvases for future projects! Note. The description mentions USB-C, but the device itself only has Micro-B ports and an HDMI input. I think what they meant to say is that you can power and connect your touchscreen from a USB port if it's the new power port A. If you are using a low-power (500mA) USB 2 port on a Pi or other device (or need power ports Pi for other devices), you must use the second power port on the display. This is standard HDMI input for video only, *NOT* HDMI over USB-C!
