Win10 display - it can work

First, understand that I bought this as a small HDMI display for a Windows 10 system. I would definitely rate it higher in other applications. This is a solid little display. So much so that I probably wouldn't even write this review. However, I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought of this and wanted to relay the information to the universe for the next person to come by. I want to create a "System Monitor" screen. A small screen I can run my monitoring software on and it's always available for reference no matter what I'm doing. This screen will definitely work. However, it is not ideal. First some general thoughts: - The instructions leave a lot to be desired. There is practically no text, and it's really up to you to understand a few things. If you're tech savvy enough, this isn't a problem, but if you're not sure, be aware. Three radiators were sent along with the screen and it's not specified at all where they're going. They also do not fit in the supplied frame. The screen just works. Connected HDMI and Micro-USB for power and everything worked as expected. No problems, complications or anything else. The framework they offer is a nice feature, but it's a bit lacking. Firstly it is not black like the pictures in the listing. Secondly, it's not perfect initially and there are slight flares at the bottom edge (see images). As for the Raspberry screen, I'd say it's a beautiful dandy screen. But by default, the available resolutions are far too high to be really useful for text that's more than a foot or two away. Yes, it's strange that I'm not happy with the resolution being too high, but it's really a problem if the intention is to use it as a real secondary display. Again, as a manual or just for graphic stuff, that would be great. But for text or trying to click options - not so much. That being said, I was able to get it to work using the NVidia Control Panel, which allows you to use more resolution options than just Windows. I have no idea if Team Red will have a similar job. So to sum it up - a decent small screen, good quality. The instructions and the attached frame are missing. As a portable device, this will definitely work well - or something like a digital picture frame. As a secondary display, it takes some work to implement and still I'm not entirely satisfied.
