I am not a professional photographer and not even a very good amateur, but I will try my best on this subject. The fisheye adapter feels solid and snaps firmly onto the 16mm lens, leaving no shake on the lens. While this adds weight and length to the camera, it doesn't make the camera uncomfortable. The length roughly corresponds to that of the 18-55 mm lens. Definitely manageable. The fisheye effect is amazing. Again, I'm new to all this and was hesitant to buy a lens adapter that seemed limited in its application, but it's amazing. For all other people like me who bought the NEX as an improvement on point and shoot and aren't sure what a fisheye does, it gives you a wide-angle lens adapter without correcting for the distortion that occurs at the edges. The result is that any straight lines are curved on the sides (not as much at the top and bottom) and close-ups of anything close to the lens (like my dog's nose, for example) are magnified. It's not extreme (there's probably a technical term for an adapter's distortion. I don't know), but it's enough to make it interesting. this lens and you have money, do it. It made me look for more ways to use it and added a new dimension to the photos I take. The only disadvantage? My bag isn't big enough for another lens. I think I should look for a new job.
