Review on Dreo Radiator Electric Protection Thermostat by Fred Khalifa

Finally there is a solution to warm the room, not just the legs

First of all, all radiators are no more than 1500 watts. You will not find a greater power than this. So the problem is how to heat a room with only 1500 watts. Normally you don't do that, just put a heater next to you and warm your feet with 1500 watts of heat while the room next to you is cold. Not very nice. This heater uses a radiator in the form of oil, so this huge radiator heats up and circulates, heating the entire room (and in my case my entire apartment) with convection heat. You have to be patient. Surprisingly, if you place this device near you and expect it to heat up, it won't work properly. Put him where he gets good circulation, that's key. The air circulates for an hour and gently heats the entire room. If you set Eco mode, it will run on just 600W until the temperature drops below the set point, and then run on 1500W until the room temperature recovers. The temperature setting is about 13% off, which means the sensor on the device is about 13% warmer than the room. So to get the room to 72 degrees, I set the temperature to 1.13 times that, 81 degrees. Now I can walk around the apartment freely and I'm warm all the time. Thank you Mr. Dreo! PS Sometimes it makes a pretty loud click. It's a rarity. I think it's when the temp is on the threshold from time to time and the sensor toggles it on and off very quickly several times until it levels off. Rarely. Again, it takes patience to warm up a room, but once it's there, you're done. Remember that there should be space around it for air to circulate. This is very important as most of the heat comes from convection and relatively little from radiant heat. It takes time for the air currents to build up to heat the entire room. I highly recommend looking for "crackling fire" in your music ministry and turning on a nice sounding fire while you sit and sip coffee in your warm and warm room. By the way, the price for this quality of heat is very good. When I go to my apartment now, it's like going to my grandmother's house, it's always warm and cozy there. Ouch! And it has a timer. You can a) set it to turn off after a certain number of hours, or b) if the device is off, set the hours you want it to turn off. I can install it when I go to work and then I can install it when I go to bed. So the house is warm when I wake up and warm when I get home from work. When you turn it on a bunch of hot hair will erupt from above and you'll wonder why I bought this, it just spits hot air towards the ceiling. Air currents must be accumulated and generated. After a while, that warmth erupting into the blanket gently settles into a blanket of soft warmth. All this takes a little time.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great
