I think I received an earlier return from a customer. I cleaned them for the try and found out why they were returned. Insert batteries. I fixed it with pliers. The volume limiter is the DUMPEST thing I've ever heard. Each USER must have the CHOICE of required volume. First, it is NOT a DB delimiter. It builds on resistance. Your high price for a lithium-ion battery is 3.7 volts. Your volume limit is based on the use of this battery. If you use ordinary AA batteries, the voltage is 3.0 volts and the volume will be even lower. If, like me, you decide to use Eneloop batteries, the voltage is only 2.4 volts ONE THIRD less. than their 3.7 volts, and the volume is also ONE THIRD less. The CUSTOMER should be able to choose which volume he needs. If the client is hearing impaired, they NEED louder volume than others and should have a CHOICE. Aside from the fact that they came back early, I like almost everything about them EXCEPT the volume. I understand the "medical" ratings that say this is for our protection, but not everyone has PERFECT hearing, and the specific level chosen by 3M is for people with perfect hearing, NOT the rest of us. Shame on 3M for NOT thinking about people with hearing loss.
