For the first run mine was a little sticky on the orange part but I wasn't sure if it was due to age or deterioration of materials BUT after buying a second set right at Celestron I had the same problem, and many of my friends with telescopes have said the same thing. So maybe that's okay. Regardless, they cleaned up my browsing and picture. I usually stand on a concrete base, but the vibrations from the frantic movement of the scope causes a bit of judder (very little), but after I put these pads under my feet. This problem quickly disappeared. I'm not the type to write shock pad reviews, but they actually got me out of the tremors and it was a good investment. Overall very happy with the purchase but they are a bit pricey. Don't waste your time with counterfeit brands. You get what you pay for.
