The camera is just fantastic. I bought it last year because I was going to France and didn't want to take my large Nikon DSLR with me. I used it a few months before France and quickly found that it actually takes better pictures in many situations. While the SLR settings need to be right to capture images in different lighting conditions, this camera seems to take every available light and make the most of it. This is a very non-technical explanation of a lot of the technical stuff going on inside the camera. It also has one of the best optical zooms for a small camera, which is the feature I was looking for. Reading other reviews, I wonder if those with so many blurry shots are using a better memory card. I am using an Ultra Plus memory card. Now I will say that sometimes I get blurry photos. But usually this happens because I didn't set the camera properly for the light or didn't focus and waited for the green frames to appear in the viewfinder. When you have those green frames, you know your subject is in focus. The only downside I have is that the battery can only be charged by connecting the camera to a computer or via USB. This means you cannot use the camera while the battery is charging. I recommend getting a second battery and making sure it's charged so you don't have a camera on the go.
