Review on Fellowes CF 230 AP 230PH Purifier 9372001 by Miranda Warren

I don't like having the seller in my star rating but I think it should have been in this case. I already knew these filters worked; Bought it a few months ago and have been using it ever since. I recently had a "replace filter" light on, so I went back to my order history and figured I could buy two identical filters this time to save time later. Delivery arrived (no packing list, for what it's worth). It contained two *different* filters. Both were labeled CF-230, but > one filter was flat, vacuum-packed, with the full Fellowes logo and a page of installation instructions > the other filter was four-fold and about a liter in size. large ziplock bag with inkjet label reading "BulkFilter.com CF-230 Carbon Pre-Filter" - and no installation instructions. Filters must be sterile. I'm pretty sure the second isn't the case. I also believe that folding can introduce some inconsistency between extraction and air filtration in the air purifier. And I like having directions to refer to when completing a task that comes up every few months. And of course I have to ask. If I ordered Qty:2, why didn't two of them match? So I think the branded product itself is 5 stars, but I'm very concerned that I might end up receiving one of those inferior bulk packs again. I have submitted a replacement request to Revain and am returning the pleated filter; I will update the review once the replacement arrives.
