I'm removing oxidation from my Iron Horse gelcoat fiberglass motorcycle trailer and got a double sided pad - amazing upgrade. I do half the day on one side then switch the other half of the job and then always have a fresh pad and only had to clean one pad with a garden hose at the end of the day. . Sure, I often clean the pad by swirling it around on a bristle brush, but you really want to dampen the pad with water when you're done with the day. And as a bonus, you can get edges and points that you can't easily get with a one-sided overlay. And you don't have to worry about the velcro going bad, there isn't one. I have a Makita rotary polisher and the adapter fits perfectly and screws directly into the BuffnShine double-sided pad.
