The thing will probably withstand a direct nuclear strike. It's durable, it's not uncomfortable to walk on it barefoot, it will definitely stay in place and won't slip. It's easy to clean and easy to store (although I don't know why anyone would want to keep it at all unless they're moving to a new house). In short, it's every bit as good as most other reviewers have said. I have a small problem, but it's not the carpet's fault. Because the mat is very thick, the rubber pad on the underside of the screen door that the mat lies next to rubs slightly against the top of the mat when the door is opened and closed. I can live with that, because the excellent quality always outweighs the very small flaws. There are cheaper mats out there, but none of them last longer or do the job better than these.
