I wanted to do a 21-inch carry-on suitcase as well as another carry-on that would fit under the seat. This was just perfect. It has an extra compartment on the bottom for shoes but I used it for a small pillow and a pashmina for comfort on the plane. The upper compartment held my toiletries, compression socks, puzzle book, cosmetics, medicines, traveling documents, sunglasses, water bottle, snacks, light sweater, adapter, and more. I packed a purse in my suitcase so this could be my second carry-on. It fit over the handle of my suitcase at airports, etc. Would buy it again.
