Replaces an existing GFCI socket that has failed. To be honest, I'm new to this. The old outlet required you to wrap the wires around the terminals before tightening them. This is the "wrong" approach to using this outlet. Instead, you need to insert the wires into small holes and secure them by tightening the terminal screws. AVOID fully removing the terminal screws; It's almost impossible to put them back in and tighten them up. The instructions could be better for a newbie like me. The socket works as expected after installation.
