This device will work when plugged into a regular USB port on the Pi Zero. I've tried powering on the device and using a USB hub and Ethernet through the RPi's power port, but that didn't work. So keep in mind that you will still need a separate power supply for your Raspberry Pi Zero. The good news is that if your power supply is 5.0V 2A, you probably don't need the included power cord. That should be enough to power both the Pi and the devices connected to your USB hub.
