Review on ๐Ÿฑ Outdoor Cat Enclosures - Outback Jack Portable Cat Tent, Cat Tunnel, and Playhouse - Play Tents for Cats, Outdoor Cat House, and Outside Cat Enclosure - Ideal for Indoor Cats and Small Animals by George Matthews

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very happy! (me and fur) This tunnel attaches to the TENT! (same brand)

Tent bought, fits very well. Kitty and I try to find a compromise between inside and outside. Came back to buy the tunnel and tower. Then I read that the tower isn't for big animals (I've got a big 14lb frame - sane) so I skipped that. I booked the tunnel and got nervous to read afterwards (yes yes I always read the reviews FIRST) that it is NOT attached to the tent. OH NO! It is not true. Not sure what other people are doing wrong or if I'm having any luck (just ordered a second tunnel so we're hoping!) but the tunnel is pretty easy to put on. However, it only attaches at one end. So if you've tried one and don't understand how to do it, turn the baby over and try again! Conclusion: * I have been using the tunnel daily for several weeks. No questions. Unfolds, expands. Quite easy. Some clips would be nice to make it easier to get into the bag, she wants to pop out and be useful all the time! =) This is easily solved, you only need clamps. * The tunnel is attached to the tent. The pockets attach to the tunnel to stow extra doors, a nice touch. * The zipper is easily closed by using one of the bag's drawstrings (they are strong) and tying it to another bag or to the attached drawstrings. You'll see. Not difficult at all. * Unlike the tent bag which is hard work to get the tent back (the tent itself is great!), this bag is nice and roomy. In fact, I was able to fit both the tent and the tunnel in it. The tent sticks out from the top, but it's a lot easier than trying to get into your bag. Very satisfied! I would love to see more to add. Cross-section. Better tower than bigger cats can carry. I would probably buy all of this before my yard looks like a crazy maze. Pity about the neighbors! At least everything is easy to pack. UPDATE: It's been almost two years now and I can tell you we still love these products and will be buying more. In the last (almost) two years I have climbed 5 tunnel sections and two tents. The first tent didn't take the weight of the snow that well and broke down after a terrible storm which is fair. I had to grab it, but Kitty took it anyway, so I let him have some fun. Tunnel sections have one major drawback when they're in rough terrain - the yellow stuff scrapes off and I mean fast! Otherwise they are very strong. Unfortunately, as soon as the yellow fabric is torn off, the wires detach from the mesh and the entire tunnel begins to deform. I solved this problem by wrapping the wire and yellow fabric over the mesh with an outside twine. Just keep cycling and driving through. This thick outer cord prevents the tunnel from scratching the floor, saving yellow fabric. It also better connects the wire to the mesh, allowing the tunnel to remain resilient. It took forever to wrap a section, but this section has lasted over a year without damaging the yellow fabric. Here is the cable I used, it was a little thick to get through the mesh but I'm worried the thinner cable doesn't protect either. Coolaroo Shade Fabric Lacing Cord 80ft Black I will be testing a non-ABO dueling opening tent soon to expand on our kitty yard mitt. RORAIMA Instant Portable Outdoor Cat Tent or Habitat with Rain Cover and Two Pet Entrances, Vented Mesh to Prevent Mistakes, Size 75" LX 60" W x 36" H, Black. I'll report later and report like it If only ABO would expand! Longer and stronger tunnels, a tower that can hold larger adult cats, a duel tent like this one I'll venture into...ah, but I said that before..

Pros
  • Best in its niche
