It's amazing that some of these things are still made in the USA but this particular model of this phone. The other thing that sets this phone apart from the cheaper (made in China) model you'll see at other Revain stores is that it has both a ringer volume control and a handset volume control. It's now a mechanical ringer, so the volume control is somewhat limited, basically it can be turned off, it can make a soft "click-click-click" sound, it can ring slightly muffled, or it can just ring loudly . the tone that all old phones had. In terms of looks, I think this phone is a timeless design classic: minimalist, functional, looks good anywhere, 100% reliable and functional (if you look around on CNBC you might see that they feature these phones in USA use NYSE hall). The phone is a decent weight and the traditional shape still has better ergonomics than the 'modern' slim wall phone. I also prefer that the buttons and handset are on the wall so there are no accidental button presses or resets during a call. Requires no AC power or batteries, and doesn't even need a cord to plug into a standard outlet - it just snaps into place.
