Works with Precision 5540, stops charging after 2 months

Dock required to meet Dell Precision 5540 130W power requirements. Power supply or performance bottlenecks. It comes with a 180W power adapter with US and UK power cord ends. I'm only running a 4K display with the included USB-C cable that comes in the box. It took some work to set up, as the laptop (not the docking station) BIOS had to be updated beforehand. The docking station's USB port and Ethernet port are working. I also had to install the latest Nvidia drivers. Initially, the 4K display just showed up as a blank black screen, but once I switched it to 1080p and then back to 2160 the display worked fine. 130W applies to Dell systems only. Systems from other manufacturers receive less power. The two USB-C upstream ports provide power to devices, while the TB USB-C port does not provide power over a USB-C phone cable. I wish it had another USB3 Type A port on the front in addition to the existing Type A and Type C ports. However, using a USB-C to Type-A adapter helped. was registered in another country in Korea so I couldn't easily take advantage of the warranty if the dock stops providing power. to charge your laptop. but once I switched it to 1080p and then back to 2160 the display worked fine. 130W applies to Dell systems only.
