It was such a cool project! I now have the ifixit toolkit which I highly recommend if you are interested in mods and maintaining your electronics. Still, it was easier than originally intended and a lot of fun to set up. The tools provided are cheap and not the best, but I'm sure they will do the job - I just didn't use them because of my tool kit. Overall I liked it, the lights were really bright and customizable but I ended up uninstalling this mod. The adhesive specifically for the LEDs around the right and left joysticks wasn't the best. I would find that when I moved the joystick it would unzip and just move - it didn't affect the lighting, but I could hear it moving. It was bothering me and affecting my gameplay so I removed it. That being said, it was very easy to remove, and for the price, I wasn't too upset about removing it. You might get one with better glue, so I still recommend this mod.
