Review on 🚗 New OSIAS Universal Low Pressure Electric Fuel Pump – Compatible with Land Rover 90 & 110, Range Rover Classic, Ford, Mini, MG, Jaguar & Triumph – 12 Volt by Eli Saumell

For those with a mep002 or mep003 alternator that uses expensive 24v fuel pumps, I was able to use this inexpensive pump to replace a failed auxiliary pump with a few simple modifications: 1 This pump comes with two hose adapters that need to be removed. One of them won't unscrew because it's too close to the electrical connector (which doesn't seem to come loose), so I had to cut the hose adapter off with a hacksaw so I could unscrew it. 2. The outlets of this pump are 1/8" female NPT thread and 1/4" male thread pumps are male NPT thread. So I bought two 1/8" to 1/4" male to female adapters. Cost: about $4.00. Existing MEP connections are directly integrated into .3. The bracket on this pump has holes in the same location as the facet pump, but the holes are larger and the screw head fits properly. I used a 1/4" flat washer on both sides to fix this problem. 4. This pump comes with +/- wires that go into a specific type of connector. I cut off the connector and removed the negative wire, by simply removing the screw.on the underside that held it in place.The negative is not needed on an MEP that uses a frame for grounding.If you remove the old pump from the generator there should be star washers under the bracket Make sure you put it back *under* the bracket to get a good ground, alternatively you can leave the ground wire on and connect it to any good ground on the generator 5. The positive wire should connect to the old one positive wire to be connected Electronic interference from the pump If your capacitor stops working then the DC breaker will trip when the breaker resets In this case you can d Cut/splice en wire in front of it and you shouldn't miss it. Please note these capacitors come with a box. People bypass them on the MEP. So it filled my fuel tank from the auxiliary tank in about 10 minutes which was similar to the old pump. I'll report here if that fails. Oh, one more thing. I briefly opened up the bottom where the fuel filter is located and everything looks very similar to a faceted pump to the point where I believe some or maybe all of the parts might be interchangeable. untested so ymmv.
