Bought as an alternative to crochet thread. The yarn is for clothing. It's soft, fluffy and can be used to make things for cold weather. I needed a material to make baskets, bags, tablecloths without falling into macrame, which I think is too big and outdated. That's why I'm trying. So far, so good. The thread is flexible and slides easily through the loops. My skills will never be good, but I'm panting. If that doesn't work, I have a helpful thread. like 100% cotton. Cotton will not ignite in a kitchen fire. I haven't checked. I recently learned how to weave baskets from cotton yarn using a tiny crochet hook.
