The first thing that struck me about this monitor is how HEAVY it is. It's even heavier than the desktop computer I connected it to. I've had CRTs that were lighter than this. The second thing I noticed is that while it works great with my integrated graphics, it doesn't work properly with my discrete graphics card. In the worst case, booting the operating system (Windows or Linux, it doesn't matter) leads to a permanent black screen. At best, it turns off and on on the fly, resizes to 1024x768 and back, etc. every 3-45 seconds. I've asked for help on several online forums about this issue, but no one knows what's going on. Third, all the colors are wrong. Red looks orange, blue looks green, and white looks like lemon-lime Gatorade. Everything is very strongly inclined towards yellow-green and fumbling around with the color settings is of no use. It's just not possible to get reds to look right without making everything else on the screen red. The benefit of this monitor is that it supports 1600x1200 full screen mode and full screen 1600x1200 monitors are no longer available at this price point. But if you find another one somewhere, please select it instead. You're doing yourself a huge favor.
