I advise you to use a jigsaw, not a chainsaw as shown in the instructions. I laughed a lot at the instruction manual. Ignore them for the most part. Place the front of the door on the door and draw a line on the inside, drill holes every few inches from the OUTSIDE of the painted edges, use a jigsaw or coping saw to cut the drilled holes. If you have a wooden door, do not drill holes for the pins. Simply screw the cat door parts directly onto the door. If your door isn't as deep as a cat door, there are lines on the inside that you can follow and cut the cat door to the correct depth. I think I got it right because step 10 says cats should really like the door and my cats got it right. Path. Plus it's cute. I can remove it and paint it grey.
