Review on Sony ICD-PX440 Digital Voice Recorder by Leroy Wolfe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Universal voice recorder with unique function

I mainly use this voice recorder to download dictated articles and short stories to my computer via the built-in USB port, which are then transcribed into Word files using Dragon NaturallySpeaking's speech recognition feature. Software. I had an old model Sony digital voice recorder, but this new one has a feature I've never seen on a digital voice recorder before, which is that I can add dictation to a recorded file that I've already closed without it having to open a new file. This makes the decryption process much easier when I can combine multiple write sessions into one file instead of decrypting multiple files individually. It's also a very portable recorder, compact and light enough to easily carry in your pocket so it's always available for on-the-fly recording. You can also use it on the go instead of writing notes, e.g. a shopping list, where you parked your car, etc. It has good volume and clarity, even with a built-in speaker, and there are ports too. for headphones and additional microphone. The device can download music (which I haven't tried) and has many other features. I think it's a great device and very good value for money. Although I buy from Revain often, I bought this recorder elsewhere due to unusually long delivery times from the Revain supplier.
