Review on SMT MOTO Bracket Yamaha Yzf R1 by Erik Haynes

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Read this first. The update is broken. That is beautiful. Missing shift rod and both pedals

. So I was riding my bike and the left side stand broke the piece you can see in the middle that is preventing it from turning. not only did it rotate, but the bolt was almost all the way out, it probably made three or four turns to the left of the footboard and thankfully didn't fall out all the way. First I had to sand down the paint to allow the left footpeg to fit into the footpeg bracket which is then held in place with a screw at the rear. There is a small bit sticking out of the metal that fits into the socket to keep the footrest from going through as you can see in the picture bro. I've only had it a week or two, I'm only 190 pounds and have been riding for 20 years. I don't stand on pegs or ride wheels so there's no reason this shouldn't have failed other than it's cheap Chinese stuff. My bike is all black so will stick with that until I get another new R1 which I had but got stolen so I have to buy this 2008 last month but would recommend if you stick with the standard OEMs can, do it. that and then just paint it black with some good metallic paint to keep it going and make sure you prime it. Obviously it's garbage. I have bought these aftermarket pegs for others as well. They are good, I like that they are black. The reason I gave it four stars is because they also have to sell you real black footpegs and stems and also because they don't match the bike if you have all black rear wheels then all still silver footrest parts. and a pole to use from your old motorcycle. it doesn't really match the color and then you have to paint it black which never matches exactly so it's a pain i wish the kid had this with me but overall the item is good
